Dentist projects in India

Our dentistry placements in India are based at small local dentist practices in Trivandrum.

These practices are very similar to those you probably visit at home but the main difference will be the level of sophistication of the tools they use. Like your dental practice at home, the clinics are usually divided into general dentistry (check-ups, fillings, extractions etc) and orthodontics (crowns, bridges, etc) and you will have the opportunity to gain experience in both areas

The supervisor of our dental projects is also a lecturer at the local medical school so you will also be given the opportunity to accompany him to lectures during the day.

The clinics tend to be very quiet during the day, seeing only a handful of children or emergency cases. Most of the clinics’ clients visit the clinic in the evenings after work so this is when you will be busiest.

This project is a great opportunity to gain experience of dental practice in India. Their equipment is not quite as up to date as you would find in clinics in the UK but the principle is basically the same. You will be able to get back to the core of dentistry. This project will look great on an application to university!
