Accommodation in Cambodia

We try to place all the volunteers in the same area. Those teaching or on orphanage placements are mainly based in Takeo, those on medical placements are usually based in Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh is only 50 miles away from Takeo and communication facilities are good so you will still be able to meet up with all the volunteers to travel at weekends.

Usually, two people will share a room. The standard of the accommodation will good but not quite what you are used to at home so please don’t expect all mod cons, but it will be clean and tidy.

The accommodation you will share will have cold running water and electricity, but this occasionally fails. Some of the houses will have hot water showers too.

Our staff will be on hand during office hours if you have any general queries and only a phone call away outside office hours if there’s something much more urgent.
